USE YOUR NEXT LONG WEEKEND TO INDULGE IN SOME MUCH NEEDED ME TIME
I think we can all agree that this has been the longest year ever, and it’s only February. It felt like there were 734 days in January (Okay, that may be a minor exaggeration) and everything that could’ve gone wrong seemed to happen all at once. Its been rough people, and I think we all could use a break from life right about now.
That’s why while most of my friends are preparing to enjoy a long weekend in some sunny paradise over the Presidents’ Day holiday, I’ve decided to skip traveling this year and instead indulge in some long overdue and much needed me time. Like most people, I’m not the best at self-care, so I’ve dedicated my long weekend to resting and recalibrating my mind (S/O to my amazing therapist #therapyforblackgirls) and of course, lounging around doing absolutely nothing for a change.
